15 yo at 46 % - rust coloured from sherry cask ageing, medium bodied. Nose with intense and slightly astringent sherry notes on the shore...after a while it will loosen up and reveal raisins and bitter chocolate. The palate is clean and straightforward, with dried fruits and sherry, yet again on the shores of the Atlantic. Although still bathing in sherry notes, the finish has an increased complexity with some peppery seaweed, vanilla, chocolate and some slightly burnt raisins or figs. Heavily sherried but still good. It does give you a truly intense experience in all regards. If you like sherry ageing, this is THE dram.
